All a person long for is little praise for his actions, a little appreciation, a little acknowledgement of his work, a little chat, a small gesture or even a smile.
The most cruelest thing to do is to consistently keep a blank face and no talk except where absolutely necessary, not showing slightest appreciation nor despise and yet expecting others to work happily for/with them.
