The master of disguise. It was quite hard to spot this chameleon on this tree, I was able to spot him only when he lifted his head from the tree trunk.

When we travel to places, we want ultimate luxury. We want to relax; in fact we sing, we play, we watch, we sleep, we chat, we argue, we fight, we call… the list is endless. We could do all these because we could place complete trust in the person responsible for manoeuvring the vehicle you are in.
A small mistake by the driver/pilot/captain, or whatever we want to call him, can lead to disastrous results; even fatal. The completed air-investigation in recently conducted Mangalore Air-Crash reveals the scary story “that 158 people onboard had to pay their lives because the pilot was sleepy and snoring for almost 90 minutes”.

Its been a long time I had some free time to splash paints. While cleaning the house during diwali I found my paints drying. Last time I had used them was during Jan 2009, for Rang Dakshini.
This is painted using acrylic paints on 3 separate canvas.

This photo was clicked somewhere on NH4-A in during our recent journey to the wonderful place called GOA just few hours before that fateful incident.
It was all so calm and serene greenery. The pristine beauty of ghats in Goa, intermittent rains and deserted beaches, Chapora and Aguada Forts, Dudhsagar and Jog falls that make you wish you had more time and time again.
I had had a wonderful journey stretching more than 20500 Kms; and enjoying each and every moment of it; Have too many pleasant memories of all the rides we have had.

A chapter finishes, new begins. Life is a series of chapters or episodes; each interconnected with other. Whether good or bad, life moves ahead; without giving you a chance to revisit past. All we get is one sole last chance to be attentive and decide how we grab this current episode.
After that unfortunate incident on 27/7 (27th July) near Byadgi village on NH4 and long recovery process, I am now in a reasonable shape and back to Bangalore and also office.
My left knee (and leg in general) still has some weakness and sore back, I am now able to be walk back to life. It's amazing how fast our body heals itself, and it seems our attitude towards life affects this pace of its healing. A positive attitude quickens the pace or rather more than doubles.
One door closes, another opens. How true!!

There are few things in this world which you wish should never happen in your life; yet it happens. And then there are few you wish should keep happening all the time; but they don’t.
After all, life is not so easy and same with everyone.
Accident-1, originally uploaded by Piyush Sarode.
There are few things that leave you wondering, what if I had done like this? What if I had behaved like this? What if I had taken this at all? What if this had not at all happened? Or why me?
Few times you are guilty, but nothing happens to you; yet sometimes somebody else is guilty but you have to pay the price.
But life moves on. You have to face each and every day afresh, without knowing what that day holds for you; what surprises it brings; yet there is always something to learn.
As they say, the circumstances were right, the day was set to end the journey of this life but it was not the destined time. The guardian angel was there watching over your shoulders and life moves on as if nothing happened; you just awoke from a bad dream.

A setting sun, in backdrop of scattered clouds, lightens up the evening with bright sky by its amazing colour combinations; the complete sky turns into a huge canvas with sun as the master painter, the results are spectacular every day.
A view from the terrace of our house in BTM Layout, Bangalore; spent amazing evenings relaxing on terrace and enjoying different moods of sun.

On the way to the famous Pangong Tso Lake, (also called Pangong Lake), one has to cross Chang La pass in the Himalayas at an altitude of 17,799 Feet's (5,425 Meters). The weather was not good and it was snowing continuously on the day we had planned to visit the lake. Entry to the pass was not allowed until snowing stops and sun starts shining again. Few visitors returned from the entry checkpoint of the ChangLa Pass while we decided to wait for some more time hoping for weather to clear. With nothing more to do, except wait, we were back to photographing surroundings and playing in snow. Looked as if, this bird was also waiting for snowing to stop and sun to shine and lift surrounding temperatures to more comfortable levels.

This is a summer season in India. Mercury is rising day by day and it seems that we already have had record highest temperature in past 25 years at Bangalore; with met department predicting further increase.
Yesterday, by evening thunderclouds covered the sun, brought rains and heavy winds with them; and the city was lashed with downpour that halted the soaring temperatures.

Peacocks are beautiful creatures, and rightly they are national bird of India. I had seen them them mostly in pictures and zoos, but seeing it up close in a forest has its charm. One could just appreciate its beauty and catchy colours.

I own “Hercules” bike. I had used it to commute to my office when it was closer to my home; since office shifted bike stood stand still in one corner of my house. I plan to revive my cycling once again, its time to feel cool morning breeze blowing through hairs again; experience the nostalgic smell of the soil after rains; thrill to ride the bike again. After all this is where I learned “how to drive”.
When my new digital camera (canon S5IS) came, I was eager to learn all photography tricks. I came across this trick called HDR photography and exposure blending which is possible with the help from digital camera. This was my first attempt on it.

Our national animal is fighting for its life.
From around 40,000 at the turn of the last century, there are just 1411 tigers left in India.
If we don’t act now, we could lose this part of our heritage forever.
Aren’t tigers the majestic, powerful, gracious and brave and bold creatures? They are the “symbol of power”, perhaps that is the reason why killing a tiger was considered royal sport.

Sigandur (or Sigandhur, or Sigandoor) is a small village located near ‘Sagar’ on the backwaters of river Sharavati. This place is famous for “Devi Chaudamma Temple” (also known as Godess Chowdeshwari Temple). To reach this place one has to come from the main city of Sagar. The road just ends on the banks of the river Sharavati backwaters. The water reservoir is huge and to cross; there is no road. The only option is to take a launch (a ferry that carries you to the other end).
Our trusted vehicles waiting to cross this huge water reservoir.
And getting launched to reach other end.

This picture shows the Sun desperately trying to make its intensity felt on one of the cold foggy morning. Even though the sun had already risen about an hour and half back, its intensity could not be felt because of thick fog cover. It’s already February we are still witnessing foggy mornings with mercury staying south. This year witnessed maximum foggy mornings at Bangalore.

Owning an flat in an apartment on 11th floor has its own advantages. You have privilege to witness some of the amazing colour combinations done by nature; particularly they are more impressive during sunrise or sunset.
One fine evening, i happened to be at home just before the time of sunset. I couldn’t resist capturing this view.
Use mouse wheel to “zoom in and out” on this image.

Having spent considerable time researching every minute detail before making that purchase, he walked into store with confidence.
More or less he already had decision; still he let salesman explain nitty-gritties.
With additional information at disposal, he ended up buying something which vastly exceeded his required features and few fancy ones, hardly of any use.

We required few paintings for the set of our play “HomeMaker”; performed during the “RangDakshini 2009”. This painting was one of many that I had drawn.
The play went on to win many awards, 5 to be precise, including the “Best Play”. I got award for “2nd Best Set” design.

This picture was taken on top of Nandi Hills, a small hill station close to the city of Bangalore. The weather was sunny and cloudy at the same time. Though we had planned to be there on Nandi Hills to observe sun rise, by the time we reached we were already 3 hours late.
